SKILLS/ABILITIES: Experience in 2 or more of the following
-Texture building (Zbrush, Mudbox and Photoshop)
-Rigging
-Flash Scripting
-Experience with the Unreal III Engine (level design)
-C++ programming
-Game Interface Design (Illustrator)
-Drawing (anatomy, character design, perspective, storyboarding)
-Digital painting (using Photoshop and Corel Painter)
-Motion Capture technology
Flexible working hours. Interpersonal and oral presentation/written communication skills, as demonstrated by data sheet, diplomas, degrees, transcripts, certifications, CVs/Resumes, and in personal interview.
* Teach 1-4 sections of courses across a four-quarter year not to exceed 4 classes per quarter, ranging from morning to evening depending upon scheduling needs.
* Actively engage in retention activities including documented communication with both students and administration regarding attendance and progress.
* Assist students with registration and academic advice if requested by the Vice-President of Academic Affairs and Department Chair
* Provide assistance for the planning, development and maintenance of program curriculum.
* Work with Department Chair and Vice President of Academic Affairs to resolve student concerns.
* Mentor select groups of new faculty and maintain continuity of curriculum.
* Assist in the classroom review of adjunct faculty.
* Provide annual documentation of continuing professional growth.
* Attend regularly scheduled program meetings, Academy in-service workshops and college-wide faculty meetings.
* Attend advisory board business meetings twice a year.
* Manage special projects as formally assigned by Department Chair and Vice President of Academic Affairs (including, but not limited to, the organization and posting of student work for display; assistance with orientation programs and open houses; assistance with accreditation preparation.)
* Adhere to and publicly support Academy policies and procedures, included but not limited to the faculty handbook, and catalog.
EDUCATION: Master's Degree required
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years of industry experience with prior post-secondary teaching experience as a student-centered, retention-focused educator.
